I am four weeks pregnant and I was already starting to show at 2 1/2 weeks. This is my second full-term pregnancy. I had a baby, got pregnant again, had a miscarriage, and got pregnant again. Is it normal for me to be showing so quickly at 2 1/2 weeks? Is bloating a pregnancy symptom by itself? I also have Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Please tell me if I am carry a singleton, twins, triplets, or more.

My question is how long has it been between having your baby , miscarriage and preg now? The thing is with subsequent pregnancies you can show early usually around at least 5-6 weeks. Also it depends on your body statue as well as having multiples can cause you to show earlier. you can google 4 weeks pregnant and click on images and this will pull up pictures of women showing their belly pictures...

If you're showing at 4 weeks then it's bloating, and not the baby. I'm 5 weeks and my tummy is sticking out like yours, but it's because of bowel distention.
The baby is the size of a grain of rice right now. No way you could be showing for that reason, even if you were having twins or triplets.
I think every woman at some point in her pregnancy wonders if she is having twins either because of the size of her tummy or the severity of her symptoms (i.e. terrible morning sickness). But the truth is, twins are based on genetics.

No one can simply guess if you are having a multiple birth...only an ultrasound can confirm this. Or you may be simply further on than you think...also, you show sooner in second pregnancy (certainly not at 2 1/2 weeks though!)...IBS itself can make you look very bloated, pregnant or not, so it may just be this.

You're probably not actually "showing" yet, but you are very likely bloated--expecially given your history with IBS. Second babies do show sooner, but not at 2 and a half weeks for most people.
Congrats on the baby. Don't stress about multiples...you're just bloated :)

You don't show at 2 1/2 weeks, maybe you are farther along than you thought.

theres no way we can tell you if your carrying twins or not, but I do think that showing at 2 and a half weeks is a littlle off...its to soon to even tellthat your pregnant, how is that possible, it could all be in your head

not showing. you're bloated, big time!
(yesterday i looked VERY pregnant & couldn't fit into my jeans, i also had tummy issues. today i'm much smaller & my tummy is fine)
even with multiples, there's no way you're showing yet.

Do multiple babiues run in the family? It may be that your carrying multiple babies.
