Hurrican season runs from July 1- November 30.
No way to predict where a storm will go until it has formed, and even then a storm path's can change (check the path of Hurrican Jeanne...lol) I wouldn't recommend coming to Florida in September as it is the peak month, and this year is supposed to be an above than average year. Nevertheless, if you went and a dear hurricane comes along, Disney Cruise will have to re-schedule it, and the new date might not be convenient to you, which is why I'd recommend you buy your tickets with insurance. And if you are in Orlando when another lovely hurricane comes, then you can be sure you'll find shelters and will be safe. Just watch the weatherchannel everyday when you are there! :-)

Good luck with your vacation plans!

wow it's absolutely amazing how many people don't know when hurricane season is. Hurricane season begins June 1st and ends on November 30. The peak of hurricane season is from August - October. The busiest time of the peak is the beginning of September to mid September because the Atlantic has the most favorable conditions for one to develop. In June and July there are most favorable to develop in the Gulf or Caribbean, starting with August they are most favored to develop off of lows from the coast of Africa. If one was to develop, you would have days notice. If one develops while you are on your cruise they will most certainly keep a close eye on it. If they feel there is any threat they will end the cruise early. Like if you are on their private island they will take you back to Florida, they won't keep you on the island during a hurricane, not even a tropical storm. Disney World very seldom closes, the only time they do close is if a hurricane is going to hit this area directly, but once again you'll have days notice. You should be fine - have a great time and enjoy yourself =)

You cant predict where a Hurricane is going to be until one if formed. Right now there is nothing out there but there will be Hurricanes this year, where they go no one knows. Hurricane season runs through the end of November with September and October being the most active parts of the season.

There usually is at least one hurricane on the east coast every August. That's just the historically statistics. None are currently projected but the odds are one will pop up. It will not likely effect you other than causing bad weather one day of your trip. Ships can easily stay away from the real bad weather and the Disney reports are built for the bad weather.

If you are going to be in a hurricane, Disney is the place to be.

As of now, there are no tropical cyclones forming. Nobody can predict exactly where a hurricane or tropical storm may or may not make landfall, but keep up with the National Hurricane Center's website: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov

Hurricane season ends in November not end of September. There isn't currently a hurricane predicted but weather, especially in central florida can change moment to moment.

Below is a link to science daily website which predicted a very active hurricane season. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/04/070403172305.htm
