It's a sad plate of spaghetti if it does not have the parm on it. I also like to make sure there is meat in the sauce. Not hamburger, but Italian Sausage or Italian Meatballs! Don't forget the Garlic Bread!

Ever try mizithra cheese? If you live around an Old Spaghetti Factory, you can order the meal there, or stop in and buy some of the grated cheese, take it home and make it. It's spaghetti, browned butter and mizithra. And it's my husband's and my favorite. Yummy!☺

You're right -- it's totally lackluster without the cheese. I think it's because cheese replaces salt in some foods and omitting it just makes food so bland. Maybe you have an idea in the making here -- how about if they make packets of the cheese for traveling -- you know, like the ones with sugar and salt and stuff! Hmm, this could be profitable...

Spaghetti is not spaghetti without ground beef. It totally kills the flavour. I guess it needs parmesan cheese too :/

I agree with you!

And it has to be freshly grated Parmesan Cheese, not that powered stuff you get at the grocery store.
