no met or dodger fans, please?

assuming he is, is mike piazza going into the hall of fame as a met or dodger? i would like to hear why. and im serious about no met or dodger fans, i want unbiased answers

and please, dont say padres or As, he is not going to the hall of fame as an a or padre.

People go into the hall based on which team they were on the longest. If Piazza spent 6 years with the Mets and 3 with the Dodgers, then he would be going to the Hall has a Met.

btw...Piazza spent 8 seasons with the mets and 6 with the dodgers. He would be going in as a Met (unless he signs with the dodgers again and plays a couple more years with them...)

I think he'll go in as a Dodger.

It's as a Dodger that he won his only major award, the ROY award. He also finished in the top 5 in average 3 times as a Dodger, which he didn't do at all in New York. And a cursory glance at his batting average and OBP show how much stronger a hitter he was in LA, especially given that he put up those numbers in a cavernous pitchers' park.

He had more power in New York, no surprise given that Shea lent itself to his power more than did LA. He also had his only World Series shot as a Met in 2000. However, those items can't erase the fact that he spent his strongest, most dominant years in LA, with the team that drafted him. I identify with him as a Dodger, and I believe the HOF writers will feel the same.
