mine idles around or below 400 rpm. i think it should idle at 580 which i think is still plenty slow when the ac is on and the truck is in gear. any way to change the idle?

NO---all done by computer--- But may have an adjustment on the accelotor linkage---or take it to the dealer...

to swap the idle, turn down the idle screw, yet i do no longer understand the idle going up whilst the parking lighting fixtures furniture pass on. particular, the parking lighting fixtures furniture positioned a drain on the electrical powered equipment that the alternator compensates for, yet i do no longer think that that's going to reason the engine to pass up two hundred RPM.

You should call your local chevy dealership.Tell the service dept of this problem.It could be as eazy as a computer update from the factory to correct you idle problem.Best of luck with your silverado.

sorry controled by computer and is factory preset and sealed
