I had my breasts reduced 5 years ago.
One of my milk ducts was cut due to an inverted nipple and the other was fine.
I am nearly 6 months pregnant and I'm wondering if anyone else breastfed after reduction surgury.
I also am panicking because I will only be able (if at all) go from one side.
I feel it will be better to bottlefeed.
Plus I am having a C-sec which makes everything harder!!
Has anyone else managed to breastfeed sucessfully after surgury????

You can breastfeed after having surgery, even if one of your milk ducts was cut - you have many more.

If your nipple and areola are still attached to the breast tissue beneath them, there's a good chance you'll be able to nurse, although you might have some minor difficulties. A good lactation consultant can provide the support you need.

Having a cesaerean just means your milk will come in a day or two later.
