It's always been funny to me when Hollywood puts out The Big Summer Movies at around the end of May & call em "summer films". I know they're all shown throughout the summer, but everyone knows the strongest times for it are the opening weekend & maybe another 2 weeks afterwards.

I've seen em all now: H Potter, Pirates, Transformers, Simpsons (lame), etc...

By August, we're left w/ mostly lame no name choices.

Any summer "leftovers" you're eager to check out?

oh man. I've seen far funnier Simpsons episodes on tv. This movie was sporadically funny at best.

The really sad thing about this summers blocbusters, is that they are all sequels or adaptations (or in the case of Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix, both.)

sigh. It's times like these I wish I was born about 40 years earlier so I could have seen Star Wars first time around.

It always amazes me that all these great movies come out within weeks of each other. August is the month that gets left out of all the excitement. I agree with you on the Simpson's movie, I expected so much more and was disappointed. I'm looking forward to seeing War and The Last Legion. But, I don't think there's the excitement generated for those that the summer "blockbusters" received.

Im not sure what years exactly, but here are a few. Hey Ya - Outkast Walking on the Sun - Smashmouth One Week - Barenaked Ladies Regulators - Warren G Nothin but a G Thing - Snoop and Dre Crazy in Love - Beyonce Hard Knock Life - Jay Z Down - 311 What I Got - Sublime Those are the songs that got overplayed in the summer that I remember. Some are still good songs, but the bulk Im happy if i dont hear again.

I'm kinda interested in the new Resident Evil movie that's supposed to ne coming out. And I'll agree with the Simpsons movie not being good. I watched it this weekend and was not very impressed with it. Glad I caught it was part of a double feature with Transformers at the drive-in.

I KIND of agree with ya on the Simpsons movie. I thought it was kinda cute, but as you said, I have seen better episodes on tv for free:)
I did like what it said in the beginning about watching movies of tv shows. And some parts...I wont spoil it too badly for others, but in some parts it made me a little sad.

How could you say The Simpsons Movie is lame! Ugh! It was good, I saw it last night. I'm not really into going to the movies, it's okay.

Don't forget Shrek 3!

No, I don't think there are many coming out. They haven't been advertised much in the UK if there are any Blockbusters coming anyway.
