Holocaust means; a human sacrifice to a deity by fire. Pius was the mastermind of the Holocaust. He wanted to please Jesus by killing his enemies in a pagan human sacrifice. So when Pius died he would go to Heaven and sit at the right hand of God.

Hitler almost sacked the Vatican. The Pope was trying to save the city by being neutral. I don't know if Hitler was Catholic but I do know of a lot of politicians who say they are Catholic but aren't.

I heard that Hitler was an atheist. And many Catholics were put in consentration camps as well as Jews.

Nancy Pelosi, Ted Kennedy, and John Kerry are some of them. The Church has highly Conservative beliefs but they have highly Liberal beliefs.

I think it's almost beyond doubt that Hitler was inspired by the famous reformist Martin Luther.

Although that monk was famous for initiating the protestant reformation, what is less well known is that he penned a book titled, "On the Jews and Their Lies".

In this book Martin Luther suggests that all Jews should have their homes and lands taken away from them, their schools and churches put to the torch, and that they even be forbidden to utter God's name. The book encourages the church and state to codify such notions into law. The Christians, he felt, owed them no less in vengeance for slaying Christ, and literally said, "We are at fault in not slaying them."

Hitler lists Martin Luther as one of his great influences, and the Nazi movement was supposed to be founded on the "Spirit of Dr Martin Luther". And if I recall correctly, Hitler even attended a school dedicated to Martin Luther in his youth. Is it really any wonder given this that all the other atrocities followed?

So although it might be argued that Hitler was trying to enact Martin Luther's ideal Christian state, I don't think it would be correct to say he was a vassal of the Pope to any degree, regardless of what his parents might have believed.

This question is so fractured...why are you obsessed with Hitler
....Hitler was acting for no one but himself....
the current pope was a Hitler youth...the previous pope apologized for the Nazi atrocities and doing nothing...what are you looking for....
the magnitude of his crimes, against humanity not just the jews, prevent history from seeing anything positive about this...
And not for nothing but a Pope would not condone sacrifices pagan especially

In current thinking Hitler would have been a fundamental terrorist.....do you get it yet, history is based in perception....Hitler is percieved to be the pinnacle of evil....

Actually, Hitler was born a Catholic but he became a Pagan. He was into dark magic. I've heard ppl say he was half demon, but that might just be an urban legend

Nick - For your information (which needs to be updated)Jesus was killed by the Romans, not the Jews.

Although Hitler was raised in a Catholic family, he turned away from Christianity at an early age.

Automatic excommunication happens when Catholics commit certain offensives. This happens as soon as the offense is committed.

Adolf Hitler committed the following offenses resulting in automatic excommunication:
- Apostasy - the formal renunciation of one's religion. Hitler specifically rejected the Catholic Church, as well as Christianity in general. He described himself as "a complete pagan.”
- Heresy - a doctrine in theology, religion, philosophy, or politics at variance with those of the Catholic Church. Nazism is definitely heretical to Christianity.
