well as long as it isnt an interactive one you need, (like google maps) then you could use a graphics program like paint shop pro to capture the screen on the map you want, that will give you something you can edit and crop to the size you need. Let me know if you need a hand, could do it quite easily.

If you can get a map (yahoo or google) ether screen capture it
or copy and paste it and save as a gif image use paint.net,gimp or windows paint to draw the route out on your map and write

paint is the easiest to use but not as capable as gimp windows paint can do the job but there text effects kinda sux a nice screen capture can be found at http://www.geocities.com/~gigaman/
to put a gif,png or a jpg image on a web site
