It was hard at first had depression and a nervous breakdown as I loved her so much she was my first everything 15 years together highschool sweetys. Now I'm happy for her and I hope she finds what she wants in life and I have no bitterness . We share our two boys everyother week together and there is NO drama of any kind. I'm very happy and comfortable now. I'm told that I'm a very easy going guy and tooo nice could that be why I'm so happy for her? ps I don't think shes that happy though. I can see looking back that she was a selfish lover and person but I can also see where I messed up. She needed lots of affection and we grew up together but also grew apart. I hear how so many people stay so angry with an ex that cheats and leaves so why am I so freakin happy!

It sounds like you came to terms with it and your grieving process is over. You should be glad of this. Some people take yrs and yrs to get over something like that.

I think you are handling it very well. At first it was hard as you say. But now you have come to understand. That you two are not meant to be. I am very happy for you. I have known people who end up with drinking problems or worse. Because of something like this. Best of luck to you. May you find a woman that loves and understands you. Why you are so happy as you ask. Don't forget you did react had depression and a break down. The worse is over. Now you can continue with what comes next. It's good that you are feeling OK.

I admire you for not still harboring any negative feelings for your wife. You didn't say if you had divorced as of yet. You are so right....staying angry with an ex....will keep you stuck from moving on with your life. Congratulations on finding happiness and continuing to be a father to your sons. It is good that you can admit that you both were responsible for the demise of your marriage. Not everyone is so willing to take their fair share of the blame.

Why question your happiness??? You should be glad your feeling happiness and not bitterness nor sadness. Your happy because you have gotten over your significant other and you have accepted it into your life. So good luck to you.

Be sorry it didn't work but anger never helps anything. It sounds like the two of you are handling it like adults, while that seems like a novel idea these days, it's the right way to handle it.

You moved on, and rightfully so. Sitting around being angry at her is only going to hurt you and not her.
