I've just bought a bumbo on ebay for my baby, it's second hand and smells a little bit of cigarette smoke (not hugely, but enough to bother me). I've soaked it in the bath with sterilising fluid and it's improved a bit... I just wondered if anyone knows how I could get rid of the smell completely.
FYI the bumbo is made from polyurethane foam.

Just stick it in the sun for a day or two. Separate the soft part from the hard part and leave them both in the sun. Just remember to put it up so critters don't urinate on it. The sun will naturally deodorize and kill any bacteria on it without the use of harsh chemicals.

Try sealing it in a large plastic bag, with several sheets of anti-stat sheets as used in the dryer.
