I want to be a doctor
I am currently studying for an adult nursing degree. From the age of about 14 I wanted to be a nurse, but recently, I have reailsed that, although I absolutely love my nursing degree, I am particularly interested in the medical side of a patient's care.
I was hoping to finish my degree with a first or upper second, and to go to medical school on a graduate entry programme. However, I won't get this, due to me not trying hard enough, both in uni and at college. I will apply for an access to medicie, course, maybe with a few years nursing experience, and go into medicine that way. I will have to do six extra years in uni for this, but it is something I am willing to do.
Eventually, I hope to join the RAF as a medical officer

I would have loved to have been a doctor, especially a surgeon. I was all set to go to uni and do it...was doing a levels in chemistry, biology, spanish and maths and then i got pregnant and my grades began to slip. Had to take a year out after my AS's to have my son...went back and finished my A levels the next year, tried to make up the marks but didnt get close enough to the good grades (straight A's) needed for london universities. Was never gonna leave home and study away with a newborn so I gave it up. Now I'm doing a law degree aiming to be a barrister and I have a beautiful 3yr old son. I've got the best job...No contest!!!

Well, I did not have the job I wanted for 20 years - low paid, low skilled etc. Then, in my 30s I went to university and got myself a degree. This set me on the career path I wanted; working in the voluntary sector with vulnerable people. Since I graduated, in 1990, I have taken a further degree, an MA and a Postgraduate Management Certificate - both done part-time, whilst I worked full-time. It has been hard work and a struggle but I feel proud of my achievements.

You must first begin with National gokarting. BMW has started a Racing championship for young talents and the right age would be 15 years. If you are talented I am sure you can move to formula renaults championship or the F3000 championship. If you are the champion you have a great chance of getting a super licence and become a test driver for an F1 team and then you will become a race driver. I am sure you will become an all time great driver if you follow my adwise and never give up.

The last thing I want is a career. I much prefer just having money. Owning assets is far better than working for someone.

I would have liked to teach. I do not know if I would have been any use but it is my wish land dream.
I did have a chance in my thirties but after a discussion with my wife to my regret I decided not to take the chance. In fairness a far more gifted colleague did and after college worked one term and hated it.

I would love to be a Journalist. To be able to cover stories and write the facts. But alas, I cannot do it right now because I am too young.

I'm very lucky in that I'm doing exactly the job I wanted to do. Of course, the reality is never as good as I imagined it to be. A job is still a job, after all.
