Before spending tons of money on an ovulation predictor, I would just learn to read your body's signs. It's called NFP or the sympto-thermal method.

Basically you are looking for the onset of cervical mucus each month. That means ovulation, or your fertile time. Fertile mucus is white and runny at first and then clear and stretchy, like egg white.

You can also watch your basal body temperature to tell when you ovulated. It goes up and stays up after ovulation, and then goes down again during your period.

There are good books out there on the Sympto-Thermal Method and NFP. My favorite is The Art of Natural Family Planning. It helps you acheive or postpone a pregnancy, as needed.

Do you still get your period? If so, and it comes about every 28-30 days, you should start ovulating on the 14th day after the beginning of your period. Most women get a thick, clear discharge when they ovulate (looks like uncooked egg whites)and their temperature will go up a degree or two.

Pregnant women don't ovulate. But if your not and your ttc get a ovulation kit at drugstores for like 20 bucks. When a woman ovulates she should get a discharge, kinda like egg white. Go to your doctor if you got anymore concerns.

Guuurrrlll you can get pregnant any day of the week anytime of the month. What you read was the best time to try and when it was most likely to happen. Buuuut. That doesn't mean you have to wait until the clock strikes 12 to get it on! Making a baby shouldn't be like a science project where you have to time it and monitor and all that jazz...Have fun trying whenever you want.Take it from me, most people are not fully enjoying sex cause they are too afraid of getting pregnant. You should be going wild cause THATS WHAT YOU'RE TRYING TO DO! Giiiirl drop that calender and GET BUSY!

You can buy an ovulation prediction kit or you can chart your ovulation by charting your periods, body temp, and cervical mucus. There are several books out there that help you and also loads of websites dedicated to helping you do this. Google it.

Get the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" and track the signs. This will give you the best info. Much better than those things you buy at the drugstore to test.

I'd try one of those ovulating predictors. Then I'd go to the docs if nothing came of it after a month or two.
