I'm at the end of my tether. I bought a new washing machine thinking that it might be different from the previous one. I've experimented with different washing powder, cheap and expensive both leave the same result.

Random white soap stains after my clothes dry on dark clothing. I've tried washing and drying dark clothing inside out, hoping that the stains would be void from the outside, but no... Should there be a specific temperature for washing dark clothing, and limiting to how much i put in the washing machine in one wash? Any other settings that should be changed?

This is why I no longer use powder. Change to washing liquid, it'll never happen again. I have used a few, Bold 2in1 is really nice, smells great, works well and you don't need to add conditioner. If you need a non-bio, Persil do a concentrated liquid which is quite new, one capful does one wash, in fact, you can use a little less, works really well.

I used to have this problem when I was using liquid soap and liquid fabric softener. I heard someone say to use powder soap because of the abrasiveness to it, expecially if you have hard water. I also found out that using liquid fabric softener will leave stains on clothes. I switched to using powder and fabric softener sheets and I have not had that problem since. One trick if you will is to make sure you put the soap in the water first before you put clothes in. I let my washer fill up about 1/2 way before I start putting my clothes in. Make sure you aren't cramming in all your laundry at once, and be extra careful there isn't anything white with your darks. There isn't anything worse than going for your white dress shirt and finding it sploched with black streaks. Unless it was turned pink.

How bizarre! The liklihood is you are over filling your washer, remember the clothes need room to move around properly to wash then enough space for the rinsing water to get to every item and take out all the soap. I personally never fill my washer more than 2/3 full otherwise all you're really doing is moving a chunk of clothes round together! Try this and don't forget your softener, that should make things a whole lot nicer too!

try using a liquid rather than a powder, or if u have to use powder dont put too many clothes in the machine at a time so theres plenty of room for the power to disperse also make sure its on a long enough wash that the powder dissolves.

It sounds as if you are overloading your wash cycle or not using the right water level. Try washing with few clothes/items in the bin or making sure that your wash load matches what you are setting the water level at.

The only time I end up with the white marks is when I overload the cycle. Most have instructions on what they consider for a load. I rarely if ever use medium load size. Generally always large of super capacity.

Try an extra rinse cycle, and try using washing liquid instead of powder, less residue. Also be sure to remove the washing from the machine straight away at the end of the wash cycle.

Since you used a new machine, it must be a common factor.
Perhaps you're using too much detergent,
or you have hard water, or too big a load.
I'd go to the web-site for the washing machine;
perhaps they have a customer help-line.

One thing left to try,use 1/2 the amount of detergent you are now using.Too much soap will leave the white stains.It turns white when it get wet and then dries.Try it..Talk about saving money,I do it all the time.

Is it a Boch machine by any chance. I was getting this as well - tried everything and the only things that works is the liquid tabs so long as the machine isn't overloaded.

It is most probably that you are using too much powder - use less or use liquid detergent also make sure wash is all dark not mixed - better still use detergent for dark clothes (for blacks - this can be used for all dark colours)
