the cable rf is just the type of internet/modem u have...e.g on the back of ur cable modem it says cable rf mac address..i dont think it says cable rf on the dsl modems

every network device has a mac address.

A Mac address is generally the actual hardware address of a network card. Not relevant to the connection in normal use. To get wifi you normally need a broadband connection with a wireless router attached, or you use public wifi where it is available.

this is the reason they made routers. routers allow you to connect to the internet with only 1 modem and many pcs or ps3s. i would recommend a wireless router.
