how do i find my kids father? he was living and working on long island in ny till 12/06 then he disapeared!?

we saw him alot until then and all of a sudden nothing, no job , no visits, no $$$$$$, no nothing. the cops won't help because we were not married, but we have 2 kids together. he almost lived with us; he came over for almost every dinner and stayed the night when he did. he never mentioned leaving l.i. but he quit his job and none of his "people" have seen him in 6 months or more. some people say he had a girlfreind that got a job in calif. and he went with her but nobody is sure. he's from upstate and swore never to leave and one day return to his hometown. so where did he go and why? without a word, not even to his kids. that's not right!

What about his family have you asked them? You might have to hire a PI to find the answers you are looking for. No one in all of this time reported him missing?
sounds kind of funny to me. The cops wont take a missing person report???

You might not be married but he has children with you. What are the child support laws in your state you need to find this out and seek child support through the courts. I know in florida they track them down no matter what state they are in and have their wages garnished and they could even get their lisence taken away and thrown in jail. Good law. He doesn't have to see them but he does have to pay for them and I would focus on that right now so they can be financially taken care of. and their needs met.

That's a strange arrangement, where was he living, if not with you and your children together. It does sound to me like he was kind of leading a double life. Contact the support services and see what they can do about locating him.
