Not necessarily, but if they ask you for a fee to represent you, or money up front, run the other way. If they truly get you work, they can take their cost out of what you get paid. It's a scam if they ask you for money up front.

It's not really a scam but....your not going to be able to make it a full time job. You notice they say make "up-to" $250.00 / day. That means you could also make 50 bucks for standing around all day. Plus you pay your own expenses to get to and from the site and most likely your food as well. Plus you think you would have a gig every day?

Although if your doing just because it might be cool then there is no reason not to go for it. Just be carefule when you talk to them. If they ask you for money then run away.

How do you find out if a company is a scam? You check what the company actually does against what it says it does. Here's an example:

As to the movie extra thing, I have my doubts about the claim that extras can work full-time.

Basically just be sure you do your research on the company. You should never have to put too much into a company, and even then it should always be guaranteed, which most aren't. Also, if they don't give you all the details up front, I wouldn't risk it. Jennifer
