My husband offered me to go out for supper for my birthday treat, I don't really like eating out that much so I said I'd rather go and get fish and chips takeaway. That was so he had an excuse to get some too. He's diabetic and shouldn't eat them really, so he deserves a treat.
Anyway I thought I'd chance my arm, and I said to the fish man, it's my birthday today, do I get 10% discount now.

He said, " You must be joking, you can't be any more than 50-52!"

Oh I'm feeling so good now, I'd have paid double for my chips, I'm 57! lmao

Hey Happy Birthday Sylvia, the hairy ones send lots of snuffles and kisses. We are the same age I was 57 last Monday, and yes it was definitely a compliment.

Happy Birthday! Maybe the ol' fish guy was hitting on you. Either way, it was a compliment. You know, I thought that you were a lot younger than even fifty. It must be the hair.

Sounds like a compliment to me. I've got the serious wants for a fish supper now, the chippie's only down the road. Enjoy and have a great birthday.

Now Sylvia, you and I know that 57 isn't old! My philosophy regarding compliments is never to question them, and just smile and say Thank You. (Even if I don't believe it.)

But a five year save on an actual is pretty good, so continue feeling good about yourself, honey, and remember..."You are only one day older than yesterday!"

You're obviously a beautiful lady and that shines through in the way you put your husband first on your birthday. When someone is beautiful on the inside it shines through on the outside, and genuinely makes them appear much younger. Enjoy your compliment. You sound like a lady who deserves it.
