Jews aren't an ethnic group, they are a religion. I would say a lot of Asian ethnic groups are now a main part of UK culture, especially the food.

Sunny Day....
I think Jews were in the British Isles a long time ago, not just 350 years ago. Edward I of England committed the first recorded act of Anti Semitism when he had all of the Jews in England expelled from the country & that was in the 13th/14th Century.

Get your facts right.

i don't understand approximately Sikhs yet Judaism is the religion of a undeniable ethnic team. So, it is the two an ethnicity and a faith. that's confusing to strengthen right into a Jew while you at the instant are not born as one. it is not comparable to Christianity or Islam. Muslims at the instant are not an Ethnic team. absolutely everyone might nicely be Muslim.

I disagree. I think the Anglo Saxons are the UK's best ethnic group. How racist do you want this conversation to get? (in case anyone doesnt get it, I am using sarcasm.)

Stickitywit and SunnyDay - Yes the Jews ARE an ethnic group. Think Bette Midler, Ernie Wise, Barbra Streisand, Kirk Douglas, Ben Elton, Anne Bancroft, Michael Winner, Vanessa Feltz. Where do you think the surnames Cohen, Goldstein, Weiss, Waxman, Freud, Winkleman, Freedman come from? Those names are as ethnically Jewish as Evans is ethnically Welsh, Murphy is ethnically Irish, Khan is ethnically Asian, and Mugabe is ethnically Black. Just because you fought in the war defending Britain or have adopted English customs and integrated doesnt change your ethnicity. Catholocism however is not a race. You cannot compare the two.

The Jews have lived here in th UK for 350 years have intergrated into the British way of life, have fought for this country in the services because they are British they are not an ethnic group it is a religion, all catholics do not come from Rome.

Note for Kitty:- I never said I was Jewish although I have a large number of friends who are also Muslim, Welsh Scottish and many more friends of all different religions and ethnic groups.

I'm sorry you are wrong Judaism is a Religion, Jesus Christ was a Jew.

First, jews are not an ethnic group! Do your research. Its a religious group..... Second when a jew rips you off will you then move them to the bottom of the list and another group to the top....you sound like you have the memory of a goldfish!

Yes they are devout Jews and proud to be English Scottish Irish or Welsh as well. They are not always popular but then tell me who is always popular. Scousers aren't in some quarters and Cockneys and Brummies aren't in others
