Lackadaisical - lacking life, spirit, or zest

it's lackadaisical....... it means 'showing lack of interest or spirit.' can also be used in terms of a synonym for 'lazy'. my dad used to tell us we were being lackadaisical when we'd dillydally and procrasitinate about getting stuff done he'd asked us to; and if we were being indolent, or idle with our time, simply vegging out in front of the 'boob-tube' (t.v)...... (lol the latter's called that because when you waste too much time in front of the t.v it fries your brain cells and turns you into a boob. (i.e., the word 'boob' (slang) actually means simpleton, as in a dolt, not a breast LOL, so chalk that up towards the wordplay.)

I think you mean lackadaisical - careless, slipshod.
