Today I found this article:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingdom_of_Mialdo
I remember reading a discution about deleting an article because it didn't have encyclopedic information. And this 13 year old kid just creates and article like this.
How is the procedure wikipedia follows to find out about crap articles and change them or remove them?

I know Y!A allows everybody to give opinion but...
What I want to know is how with millions of articles, they can detect things like this.

there is crap everywhere, wikipedia is just like yahoo answers, yahoo dont log in and make sure all questions and answers are right. they let you get on with it.
Wikipedia and yahoo answers are only as good as their members, by the way wikipedia is extremely reliable for information on just about anything, but there is obviously crap there too.

there are more than enough moderater there to check every edit or new articles posted. as soon as they started the mod system they checked all existing articles and removed the crap, and all new articles are checked. if you report or disucss an article it gotes top priority on a mod list. and also if you want to do something about it instantly, then you can edit the article to say nothing but that this article is in process to be deleted since its full of crap. if you really want a good laugh, then you can browse unencylopedia, a parody of wikipedia with only crap on it. also if you think a valuable article has been edited into crap, then you can go into the history and view historic versions of the article

That's the bad thing about it. There are no editors behind Wikipedia. Actually, you can edit any article you want. Sometimes people report errors so you'll see, next to some part of the article, a subscript reading "error". As far as I know there are no editors but some friends say there are but that they work too slowly. I don´t know, I suppose that´s the way it goes with the people's encyclopaedia made by the people.

the latest that i've got have been given heard those days replaced into that Kevin Sullivan and Nancy had an altercation whilst they have been mutually. Chris' physique replaced into initially reported cutting-side in an wonderful place from his weight gadget. Now it quite is declared that he replaced into laying on the floor. subjects save changing and that i somewhat do not think of of the investigators are doing their jobs. it quite is why subjects save changing, they are going approximately it a million/2-assed and characteristic been presumptious approximately their preliminary findings. they might desire to discover a fashion out of what they have reported till finally now, as they and others have already achieved with Daniel and the actuality that he replaced outstanding right into a typical, healthy infant. It somewhat bothers me by using way of actuality individuals are smearing his call for some element that they think of of might have exceeded off. all persons who've self assurance some element fishy, outstanding in simple terms proceed to flood the media. RIP BENOIT relatives

They probably have a place in India or some other country they can avoid paying workers alot of money and just have them doublecheck all the information or maybe they just have computer programs to do the work who knows. Maybe you might get lucky and a Wikipedia employee may answer here lol

They have moderators that make sure that each edit is a legitmate one. that is why when you somtimes see a stupid comment in a page it is usually changed back within a few minutes.
