Yeah, you have to be 21. Honestly, Atlantic City isn't all that great. Besides the main stretch of casinos along the beach, the area is very poor. There are a lot of homeless people and the city is very run down.
The first time you are there is is fun to see the casinos and the Trump Tower. However, it is nothing like the glitz and glam of Las Vegas.
I have been there twice and that is more than enough for me.

21 minimum age.
You will not be allowed in any of the Atlantic City Casinos. You can walk on the boardwalk. You can sit on the beach and look at the ocean. You can buy and eat hotdogs.
You can go shopping.
There is great Retail Outlet in Atlantic City, with many of the well-known stores directly across from one of the casinos.
Ask your mom and dad for their credit cards and go on a shopping spree.
Ask your parents if you can invite your best girlfriend and the two of you get your own hotel suite, have a "girl's" party, watching movies, ordering room service.
Go to the gym, take a sauna.
Tell mom and Dad to reserve rooms at The Borgata Hotel and Casino. The best Casino/Hotel in A/C.
There is a food court on the lower level of the Casino, with burgers, etc. There is also a dining room with a buffet.
Go to Borgata.com and see if they have any events that interest you. Rock bands often perform, you need reservations.

If you want to go to a casino for a real casino kind of experience and not a race track that allows 18 year olds, go a little further to Niagara Falls, they have 2 there and you can drink at 19. AC you have to be 21 :( Good luck!

You can be any age and go to Atlantic City. You have to be 21 to gamble in the casinos and enter the clubs, but you can go to a casino and check it out...just can't gamble. But honestly, if you don't look young, they won't bother you. Just don't hit a hand pay or big jackpot that requires ID. Not only will they not pay you, you may also get arrested.

21 years is the minimum age to drink and gamble.
You will be carded.
You can go into the general casino merchandise, dining, and bathrooms, but you'll be asked to stay away from slot machines, tables, keno, and sports betting areas.
