Tarantula! If you get a tame one they will not bite as long as you dont hurt them. I have one and it can go without food for months. They are really cheap compared to other pets. All you need is a 10 gal tank, sand, log, small dish with either cotton balls or pieces of a water filter to store water in so it can drink. Then once a week or so throw in a cricket or 2. Make sure the cotton balls stay moist also.

Try a red velvet ciclid fish. They can't bite you because they are in the water.
They are pretty. They are cheap when you get a small one.
They grow very large( like a foot long) after which you can sell them for a small fortune !!

A fish. NOT a turtle. Unless you don't get it as a baby, but even then they are tons of work. A hamster is fairly easy but can stink if you don't clean them often. A beta fish is easy and cooler looking than a goldfish.
