Someone told me if you want to know if there is some kind of presence in your house, that you should take a piece of paper, put a quarter on there, and trace around the quarter with a pen. Leave it just like that over night, and if the quarter is moved out of the trace mark, then that ensures there's a presence in your house. Have you heard of that? If not, where can I find some true ways to check for ghosts?

Interesting, but I can find no literature on the quarter test you mention.
Take a small mirror and place it in a place where it will not be disturbed or be in a draft--like the corner of a bedroom. Make a circle of salt on the mirror. Do this each day for seven days. If anything happens at all or patterns are formed Ask again with info or e-mail me.

No that wouldn't be a good way to find out for two reasons.
1. The coin could be moved by many other things, even something as simple as walking through the room or a nearby room could cause enough vibration in the floor to cause a shift.
2. Even if it didn't move that only means that an entity did not move it, it would still be possible for an entity to be in your home and it just didn't interact with the coin that night.
If you have signs like hearing voices/noises/footsteps that you can't explain. Finding doors open when you thought you closed them or vice versa. Items disappearing or being in places that you know you did not leave them. Thermostat fluctuations, you turn the air to 70 degrees and an hour later find it was reset to 80 degrees. Seeing shadows/forms.
Any of these experiences and many more that I didn't list can mean that you have a presence, if you haven't experienced anything like this then I would not worry, if you have had experiences then you need to evaluate how u feel about them, are you frightened/unsettled? if not, then I would not worry about it, if you are then you should have an out-loud talk with the presence telling it to stop and or leave your home.

I doubt the quarter trick is really useful. What if you live in a geologically unstable zone?
Having been involved in paranormal research, I can tell you that by the time most people get the idea they have a ghost, it is patently obvious... they have been attacked by unseen intruders, their dogs will not sleep through the night, the kids wake up screaming, stuff gets thrown around/disappears/moves. I've heard it all first-hand from homeowners.
The longer the area has been developed, the greater the possibility of geopathism, so the greater probability of haunting.

Well, you should just trust your instincts. Like you know when someone is behind you, you just feel it. Just walk around your house, if there is some place or room you feel uncomfortable the there might be a chance there is something there.
Oh and look for room with a noticeable drop in temp.

i noe a couple things you could do take pictures and study them real closley, ask a question and record the silence, and rught a question of a peice of paper and then lay the paper down with the pen and check of anybody answered it. heres a website that might help you more

That isn't true there are other ways to check but accidents could happen with this one like someone accidentally bumps into it. I have never tried that though

Either that or a big truck drove by ,or a small earthquake, or one of the kids jumping on the bed, any significant vibration could cause that.

There is no such thing as Ghosts...Demons or Demonic spirits of satan? Yes...Try consulting a Holy Spirit filled believer to anoint your house and to exercise these spirits out. First, they are Spirits. Give them the respect they deserve. You will have a much easier time if you go after the spirit about you rather than the ghost. good luck.

You bes leave ghosts alone. If they are around, you best turn tail and run.
You are entertaining thoughts and imaginations that if you act upon them and if n by some chance you should succeed down the road you are putting your life and house hold at risk.
