It's not that they love snitching on people. It's that some of them feel it's the only way they are going to have an effect. For instance, if the neighbor had come over and asked you to turn the music down in person, would you have done it or told him to get lost? He must have thought you probably wouldn't listen to him, so he called someone he thought you would listen to, the law.
Now in the case of the coworker, if she had come up to you and said something like "I don't like the way you bent the rules, we should actually do it the way we're suppose to." What would you have said? That's what I thought, so she told the boss.
I know what you're saying though, some people do snitch a lot and usually they seem to be white. But I think this is why they do it. Of course you are always going to have some fools who snitch on people at work and all to try to get themselves ahead and in good with the boss. Hope this helps.
I want to add it's usually not racial. The same white people who would snitch on you would probably snitch on me.

I dont know, but ever since section 8 housing moved into my old neighborhood the streets became littered, there's jobless clowns hanging under every street light and corner day and night, property value plummeted, and the once blue-ribbon school is now failing. My old neighborhood could use more "snitches" and people who respect theirs and others property.
Could you expand on the "bending of the rules" a little bit? I know if I owned or ran a business I wouldnt want inferior product going out, or my companies name tarnished by some who could care less about my company or their job.
CK loves is right, it's about a person and their character
MLK Jr. said to judge a person on the content of their character not their color.....Hmmmm how's that for thought?
*Just U*, It's criminal attitudes like that that are creating major problems in the black community.

It is not all white people, just haters. I don't know why people hate so much, but I can only assume that it is because they are unhappy with themselves. For example, at work I am the youngest and I am black I feel that I am hated on because of the position that I have. I do not feel that they hate me as a person but they hate the fact that I have this job. It is not because they are white, that is just a coincidence. CHARACTER and how people are raised determines how people act, not race.
I just think that you ran across some losers (trust me there are some in every race).

LOL Let me share my story. I was waterproofing a floor at a backyard in a new site for work. They think I'm some illegal immagrant LMAO I was bloody born in Aus...they should be old and wise enough to hold a convo with me first but nooo. They kept sticking their head over the fences watching and running their mouth about permission. We got councils permission so we told them to mind their own business. Next day, she stick her head over and start screaming that "I can't breathe,I can't breathe, stop right now, blah blah blah". LOL why the f*** do you stick your head over then and keep talking?and why can't you breathe today but you were fine yestersday when most of the paint was done? Her old white man comes over and tries to tresspass over to our side of the land and tries to get us to pack up.
All we said was mind your own business and they start creating BS sceneries and try dobbing on council and cops, but guess what? They think the old white folks are a pain in the **** themselves

What you are describing has absolutely nothing to do with race and everything to do with character. I am white and the same sort of thing has happened to me. When the upstairs white neighbors have their music so loud that the bass is pounding through my walls, I go upstairs and ask them kindly to turn the music down. They on the other hand, reported me to the homeowner's association for stuff on my front patio that only they can see, which I have not had the chance to dispose of yet (a twin mattress that is not allowed to be thrown in the dumpster and I lack the car space to transport it somewhere to donate it - I just need to call someone to come get it). I had another situation where a coworker went behind my back and deliberately undermined me to the boss so that she would look good to him and I would look bad.
I am white and stuff like this happens all the time. It has nothing to do with race. Because you are a different race than the people doing this to you, it probably feels like it is because they are white and you are black. Try to relax about it and don't read race into this. Stupid people come in all races and sadly, there are just those people whose characters are so lacking that they will go behind someone's back like an immature child rather than speak to someone they have an issue with in a mature, adult manner.

Why do black people love to snitch?
It's just an observation over the years.
I once had a neighbor who called the police on me while I was chillin' in my car in the parking lot of my neighborhood. Anyone who knows me at all can say, without a doubt, that I would never jack up a radio (because I have sensitive ears). But, for some reason, a petty beyotch decided to call the 5-O on me. Wonder why? Cops came and cited me even though my sounds were dogged the f*ck out by the brotha in the next circle who was thumpin Biggie so loud that it vibrated the ground. Gee, I got screwed by the idiot neighbor AND the punk cop.
I wonder what that was all about?
So you want to talk co-workers? Ok then. Cool beans. Let's roll.... How 'bout the time a black co-worker FALSELY reported me for "eye-balling" her kids... She came in with her kids on her day off and told the supervisor that I was "giving them the evil eye". That same snot also reported me as having stolen from the company (which I did NOT do and was very much able to prove as such).
Want to keep going back and forth?
White people, black people, white people, black people, white people, black people, white people, black people...
blah blah blah blah blah.....
What does it all mean? It means this-- PEOPLE do sh*t.
Race doesn't mean a damned thing.
Two plus two equals four regardless of how you write it. Get my point?
---------------------------------------------------------------
"if that guy wanted peace an quiot he should buy a house. He could have asked me to turn it down and I would have respected that. But he acted like a snitch azz ho."
----Do you know that he can afford to buy a house? I know *I* can't. But I still expect to be at peace without some jack a*s neighbor thumpin their sounds so loud that soul train is going choo choo up in my damned living room.
I know where you're coming from. Been there, done that. But sometimes people have had so many negative experiences with their neighbors that they give up. Happened with my grandmother... She (grannie) tried over and over to talk to her neighbors, but they just wouldn't listen. And now grannie is, well, kind of a biotch with her neighbors when it comes to the thump thump... And I can understand since she's never had any ''luck'' with neighbors. Did you try to talk to your neighbor? We (hubby and I) get along great with most of our neighbors because we decided to bypass the crap and initiate the convo. We've discussed everything from kids to music to pets to work to this, that, and the other. Our next door neighbor is black, and she has a teenage daughter who jacks up the hip hop sometimes. (Not saying hip hop is what all black kids do. I specified black since you're on the race tip.) We don't have kids, but sometimes my teenage cousin (who listens to a lot of rock) comes over. (And she drives me nuts. LOL) The two of them (my cousin and our neighbor's daughter) don't really get along. They go back and forth with the whole cracka and n*gga crap. But we never have a problem with our neighbor because we're always talking and trying our best to work things out.
Are YOU willing to try? If so then do it. If not then ok. But don't chalk it up to a white and black thing. Could be racial, but not necessarily.

the snitch on my team at work happens tto be guyanese not white...
she snitched on me b/c my top was "indecent--- too much cleavage!".. like, even the guys on my team (and there was about 5 of them) did not comment on noticing anything.. (and I got a verbal warning for violating the dress code at work)
She also snitched on a co-worker that he uses his call-back (I work at a call center) time to go out for cigarretes?.. like, I am not a smoker... but everybody abuses that time, and uses it for a coffee break!

It has nothing to do with race. True whites probably do this at a higher rate than other groups, but I think that has something to do with the history of whats it called when cops pull over blacks becasue their black. Profiling, thats it. I think that the black and mexican communities don't like the police being around becasue of the history of unfair treatment. I feel you though becasue I hate narks.

Snitches wouldn't exist if people would do the right thing. The world would be better if there wasn't a need for snitches. Now go make the world a better place and stop bitching about the people doing what they are suppose to be doing. People who talk about snitches are prisoner wannabes or exconvicts. In the civilized world we like law abiders and dont use gang or prison lingo.
