I dont take lessons, and i most of the time refuse to do pool/lake related things with my friends for fear of...you know. I always want to go in the water, but when i do, i start panicking. When i was little, i liked swiming, but my teacher almost drowned me once. Would this have to do with my fear? What should i do?

Really???? Yes, your fear definitley has to do with that. I'd suggest to start taking lessons, or just come to my cabin with me and i'll help you learn. I'm really good at swimming!

ehh
ur not the only one
i have fears for the water too i mean i too liked swimming when was little but when i went to the pool with my relatives my little cousin would just try her best to drown me for fun but of course i didnt like it and last year or was it the year before last year i fell out of a canoe and i almost like drowned and so i think the fears for the water right now have to do with those incidents that happened in the past
and i think ur the same it was when ur teacher almost drowned you gave u the fears for water

I couldn't tell you how to over come that fear, cause I have never had to deal with it..
My dad took me fishing in a Boat when I was about 6 yrs old and threw me in,He was there,he wasn't going to let me drown.but I leant to swim...
Want you go with Hobbies,he/she can get you use to the water and teach you how to swim....You are still thinking about that teacher,I'm sure it was not his fault, you may have paniced, and just thought he done it to drown you...Wish you all the Luck....

When I was just a little guy, my dad taught me to swim. He took me out to the center of the lake and threw me in. The hardest part was trying to remove the handcuffs and heavy chains that he had wrapped around me along with all the cinder blocks.

It's okay. I taught myself to swim. It's not so bad. Just tell yourself everything will be fine. Face your fears!!
