Hi I am 9 days late for my period which I am usually like clockwork on the 30th of every month....anyways that last day I had sex was the 28th and now I havent had my period but I had sex everyday before that in between the 12th of july and the 28th of july....husband is in the army and was on leave we had alot to make up haha anyways so yeah now I am 9 days late and I took 3 test so far and all have faint positive lines but I took them all out of the cases and held them under the light to see the little barely there line which only appeared on all 3 test after like an hr or so...I know it says not to look after 10 mins but im reading all types of stories of women who got positive readings that were accurate after an hr or so too...I dont know what to think I am never late...but has anyone else got an accurate positive on 3 different test brands after an hr or so when taking it out of the case and looking at just the strips? Thanks so much for your help ?

I think having sex after not having sex for a long time can throw off your cycle. Lots of things can throw off your cycle.

Since not all months are 30 days, your periods don't seem like they are exactly 30 days apart.

I would wait another 3 days or go get a blood test at the doctor-it can tell you for sure.

It is also very possible you are pg and the faint line just means very very early.

Thank your husband for me-no matter what I think of my government I am honored to be a fellow citizen of his. May he be safe and return home to you again soon.

The best time to take a pregnancy test if first thing in the morning, first pee of the day. There is a possibility that you are pregnant. The reason for the two negatives could be that since you haven't missed a period yet, your body has not completely recognized you being pregnant yet. Since urine is the strongest in the morning after building up all night long, you have a more accurate reading at that time. Take a test again in the morning, if negative, wait a few more days and see if you miss your period, then go from there. If positive, it is probably right.

I'm sorry but if your reading these test after an hour then your reading evaporation lines which you do have to discard as negative
really sorry chances are you are pregnant its just you may need a blood test to get an accurate result
a true positive result will appear in the first 10 Min's mine were always there within 1 min

I would not go with those after an hour, was the faint line there with in the time limit? I would wait a few days a test again and make sure you read in within the right amount of time!

What kind of test are you using? It may be that you just bought a cheap kind. If not, and you are really worried about it. Go to the doctors and ask to be tested. They will take a urine sample and if needed a blood sample. My urine was coming out negative but my blood work came out positive. So I was pregnant, even though the at home pregnancy tests and the doctors test was coming out negative. And after all that you find out you aren't pregnant...you should go back to the doctors and see what's up. If you're younger and dont want anybody to find out you can always go to planned parenthood.

You maybe prego. Go to the doc. After a certain amnt of time the second line will appear on the test. Read the instructions and info on the box. But to be sure go to the doc.

In my experience you will not see the second line unless there is some hormone detected in the urine. It may be still early that's the reason for the delay and faintness. Try the digital one that reads "pregnant" or "not pregnant" that will clear all confusion.

Take your test with first morning urine. A faint positive is a positive.

I've gotten faint positives before and they were true positives but if you are 9 days late and getting a faint positive that would tell me that the hormones are not thriving in your body like they would if it were a healthy pregnancy. Call your doctor and see what they think.
