Both, because I work very hard on my job (not so much for the money but for the accomplishments and differences I make in the lives of those I'm helping); yet I can honestly say I hardly work at all because I enjoy my work so much it seems more like play than "work".

A lot of people looking in from the outside would say hardly at all, and compared to the workload I had 15 years ago, I'd concur... BUT I know that even now, I do work hard for the money. How do I know? Because it's shift work, mentally straining and can go from boredom to panic in 5 seconds flat. The responsiblity is also very high and trying.
Physically tough due to constant shifts (24/7) and mentally challenging (at times).
Peace

i work hard for mine, and the sad thing is that the actual work is not hard at all, but the dealing with all the various personalities and the unprofessional attitude of a number of my co-workers, is hard!
and its not just the younger people , in fact some of them show a great deal of good attitude, its both the young and the middle age, who want to whine and moan at any turn,
but i am glad i changed jobs, i put in about the same hours, with nights and weekends off, for almost double the money i was earning before (when i often worked nights and weekends) i just have to remind myself of why i have this job, because i like the basic work and the money

Some of us has to work for a living. Come on lets get real...we are living in a material world... so we need access for some things...I know money doesnt buy happiness but it is a tool... as a tool I work hard to acquire it. If I get money without working I dont mind at all....

I generally work as hard as I'm able at everything I do - but not just for the money. Rather for the satisfaction of seeing whether I can do it. I used to work much harder - but now (perhaps luckily) I can't, and don't have to, so I don't, even as much as I should!

I have many hobbies that I can make money on, but the main source of income is construction. I am a superintendent, so not only do I stay extremely busy ( and it is 106 degrees here today), but I have to make sure that every body else stays busy to. It's satisifying enough.

Do you mean like working at a job? I have been unemployed since mid-December. People are always asking me to go back to work but I prefer just vacationing, so until I happen to get tired of that, cheers!

I sit in an office and do Data Entry all day... I hardly work. That's why I have Y!A or I would be bored out of my mine.

I try to work smart. Hard work is for the inexperienced as is manual labor (Yes, that does sound terrible). A carefully thought out and executed plan should not entail hard work, it should entail steady and productive work.
