A job that most people would have never done before?

I made telephone calls for the deaf and hard of hearing... A computer monitor would show an incoming call, it would be either 1) a deaf/hard of hearing person making a call, or 2) a person making a call to a deaf/hard of hearing person.

I really enjoyed this job. If you ever take a call from a deaf person, remember to be polite - the person assisting (which is what I did) must type every single thing that is heard - even if you talk to someone else, cough, slam doors, etc. Sometimes, cashiers at banks or other businesses would be rude - for instance, "Great! It's one of those stupid deaf calls!" DO NOT SAY IT!!!! Whatever the operator hears must be typed. And deaf people are NOT stupid - my manager was a very sweet, smart deaf person, and remains my friend to this day.

peddling satellite tv door to door.
DON'T EVER take a job like this. it's a total pyramid scheme. if you've seen the movie "boiler room" you know what i'm talking about.
whenever you see job ads that say management trainee or something to that effect it means door to door sales. no benefits and you only get paid if you sign someone. (around $100/signature) on a good day you're lucky to close 1 person after 9 hours of knocking on doors.

Delivering newspaper in the wee hours of the morning, waiting tables, washing dishes in restaurants-soooo gross-running a fireworks stand, cashier in a grocery store. I've had more jobs that I thought and I have never been fired either!

In the 1970's and 1980's I use to mow lawns, pull weeds, split firewood, and shovel snow. I would average $300 to $400 a week and then get my a** kicked by my mother and father because I made more money than he did as a trucker.
