This guy is 34 years old. This year he has some records in his reach to beak . He is still elite, one of the best ever. Last year he is one or the statistical leaders in the league. When is he going to stop being so productive?

This is a good question because I thought his production would have slowed down by now. Yes it doesn't hurt that he has Payton Manning throwing the ball. Marvin Harrison's stats would have been even better last year, but he got doubled quite frequently last year. He might lose a step or two, but he's been healthy (and I hope it stays that way) and he just has really great hands. He will probably be at the level he is now for at least 2-3 years, maybe 5.

I would think that those years 36 through 38 will be a downward trend towards retirement. Check and compare the last few years and ages of Tim Brown and Jerry Rice to see where their final downward trends began. I would think Marvin will follow very close to them. So, I see basically two more fantasy worthy years you could probably count on: this year and next.

I'd like to see him retiring on top, like Barry Sanders and Jim Brown. But it's not going to happen because he still have 5 years left in his contract and will lose speed at some point.

Give him another 2 or 3 1000 yd-10 TD seasons.

I think he has about another 3 years of good productivity in him. He will slowly start declining after this season though. Like Rice, he is a workout warrior, and he keeps in top condition, so he shouldn't have the abrupt decline that many older receivers face. It also helps that he has Peyton throwing the ball and some other receivers to draw attention from him.

If he ever leaves Peyton Manning then he will immediately lose alot of his stats. But there will be a point when the body starts to slow down, it just won't be able to keep up with him anymore. I am going to say 36 is when a notice-able drop in his abilities are seen. Nobody is good forever, look at Jerry Rice, the greatest ever, but near the end of his career he got average.

he's going to be productive until he retires, probably never dipping below 1000 yards a season, but not going much past the mark for the last few years of his career. i look for one more season of 1300-plus yards, then two to three in the 1000 range before he retires. he's an incredibly knowledgable player on an incredibly intelligent team, and the guy just gets open--that should make him successful until he decides to walk away.

I think he'll stop being productive when he is tired and beat up and chooses to retire. He has had consistent numbers for his whole career. Maybe in the next few years, he might retire, after he gets some more records.

I give him 2 more explosive years left, remember even Jerry Rice ended up average at the end of his carrer. But if Manning ever gets hurt or he injures a leg it will be shorter than that.
