I too am a Republican and I believe that our President has really screwed the pooch on this whole border deal, beginning with the two Border Patrolmen and Deputy Sheriff Fernandez. I'd love to get Johnny Sutton in front of a Grand jury and get the truth out of him. I don't believe that Scooter deserved prison time on top of everything else, but President Bush has not been honorable about our Southern Border.

I fully agree with you! Louis "Scooter" Libby WAS wrongfully convicted, but so were the two border patrol agents. These men were doing their jobs, and convicted on the word of the shootee, a guy running drugs across the border!
LISTEN UP PRESIDENT BUSH! PARDON THOSE AGENTS!

Yea, I'm still pretty aggrevated by this one. It's the bleeding heart mentality and most politicians are terrified to touch it. It's too bad really. I guess the rest of the border patrol know what's up though and next time it'll just be an empty truck and no other evidence.

I'm in 100% agreement with you. The only response I can get from my Rep. (Bartlet) is he's thinking about it.
It's just a great example of Gonzo and Bush running the justice dept.

The cases are very different.
I have real problems with amnesty in the border agents' case. The story we have heard may not be all the facts. Read this and see what you think, for what it's worth:

PS I have no way of knowing your party affiliation.

Of course, the border patroL agents don't have information that could be used against this admin., like Libby does.

no longer somewhat yet, despite if curiously love it is the place that is going. And yet Scooter Libbey did no longer spend a million day in penitentiary. i assume purely somebody who protects the president and vp are worth of pardons, and individuals who guard our u . s . a . don't remember.

Libby was a political target, sending him to prison would have been like sending Martha Stewart to prison. She was famous and had the book thrown at her, same with Libby... it was a political chess move. As for the "border" (not boarder) agents, they committed a crime, whether or not you think they were doing their job, it was illegal and could have gone much worse for them. Grow up.

Scooter got shafted, but so did Compean & Ramos.
