" DO NOT " RELY ON THE SIDEWALL OF THE TIRE FOR GOOD INFORMATION. IT JUST SHOWS THE MAXIMUM INFLATION RATE FOR THAT PARTICULAR TIRE. PERFORMANCE TIRES ON PASSENGER CARS CAN SHOW A MAXIMUM RATE OF 44 PSI THAT COULD MAKE YOUR CAR RIDE LIKE A ROCK. CHECK THE PLACARD ON YOUR CAR DOOR, THE OWNERS MANUAL OR CALL A NEW TIRE DEALER IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD. IMPROPER INFLATION CAN CAUSE PREMATURE TIRE WEAR, BAD GAS MILEAGE AND TIRE FAILURE. TAKE A FEW MINUTES OUT OF YOUR DAY AND FIND THE RIGHT ANSWER. THE LIFE YOU SAVE MAY BE YOUR OWN !!

The owners manual will tell you. there is also a sticker in the door jamb that has the tire pressures or even the truck area. I look at the max pressure amount on the tire itself, and then inflate a few pounds below that. That takes into account the pressure rise when the tires get hot. It gives you a little harder ride, but it saves you some on the gas.

Look on the side wall of the tire. It will have max/min pressure there.
