The doctor (or nurse) will know when examining you that your hymen is not intact.
You can ask that they not tell your mom, also ask that if they feel they have to, to let you tell her instead. Often it a minor may be given privacy about this, but it depends on the doctor. After speaking to the person doing your exam, if you do need to tell your mom, take your mom aside, take a big breath and let her know. Though it'll hurt her, chances are she'll feel better hearing it from you and not somebody else.
Best wishes.

Around here it is policy that if a minor's mom goes to the gyno with them, they'll ask all the questions with the mom in there, and then ask the mom to leave and ask them again in confidence. They keep things totally confidential out here, as well. You should never lie to a doctor about being sexually active, because the truth is an important factor in determining what may be going on so they can fix it. Just because your hymen isn't intact isn't necessarily a key tipoff that you are sexually active, there are many other ways it could have been "popped" good luck.

Just tell your mom that you want her to wait in the waiting room so you can have more privacy. The gyn should be able to tell that you've had sex during the exam. You will also want privacy so you can ask her questions, and possibly get an STD test done if you didn't use protection. You can even have your mom wait in the waiting room during the exam, and tell the Dr. you don't want your mom to know, and then your mom can come back after the exam for any questions she might have also. Your mom will find out if you go on birth control though.
She will probably find out sooner or later anyways (sorry), moms are pretty smart like that... ;)

whilst they do ask you questions interior the examination room, they might provide you a variety to fill out which incorporate your wellness background, considering you're a clean affected person. if so, you are able to the two bypass away the belongings you do not choose your mom to nicely known approximately clean, or fill in what you like her to think of, and tell the gyno the actuality once you're on my own. you at the instant are not the only teen to lie on the variety, and as long as you're making beneficial the gyno is familiar with the actuality, she'll understand. reliable success!

HIPAA laws protect your health information. Also, I believe there is a law called The Mature Minor Law which states you don't release medical info to your parents if you're a minor. Obviously, your doctor will know but that doctor, under law, has to keep your medical history and information private and confidential.

If you think you are old enough and responsible enough to have sex, you should be old enough and responsible enough to tell your mom. Just because you are on the pill does not mean you won't get pregnant. It sounds to me like you need to grow up a little bit. Your mom will be disappointed, but she won't "die".

You might call you doc. & have a chat with her / him & see if, they can help you out with your situation (keeping your confidentiality, if your mom insists on being in the room). If not, I would tell your mom. I don't see any other solution.
Good luck.

because of confidentiality laws she will not find out anything. your doctor is not allowed to tell her if she asks.
