Swiftly is not a name, it is an adverb (hence the -ly ending). When are people going to stop naming their children words...children need names not words. Geez! By the way, Swiftly is the most horrible idea I've ever heard of for a name other than some of those wacky celebrities.

My question is: why are you naming her swiftly? Is this a family name (no joke, I have an uncle named sikaleti--in English that's cigarette)... There are reasons for why we choose specific names to represent people.. so why Swiftly?

It is unique to say the least. But I think she might get picked on in school. Try to find a name, then have Swiftly as the middle name. But do what you like, it's your baby not mine.

Swiftly is not a good name for anybody, but I guess you could use Swift as a middle name if you had to use it...

I think you should find a name with "fast, swift, etc" in its meaning rather than naming your daughter Swiftly.

Swiftly might be a good name if you pair it with another name like:

Marie

Diana

Bianca

Melissa

Jordana

Yordana

Belen

Josephine

Liesel

Are you really going to take peoples opinions to heart or only the ones that agree with you? Let me tell you from experience you and your significant other are the only ones who should pick the name. Don't worry about influences from friends and family! Choose a name that you love, you are the one who will be using the most! I picked a name that I kind of liked but felt pressured to keep and I wish I could change it now but I can't! By the way I don't like the name, but who cares what I think, right?
