...one of the best, and at the same time, one of the strangest Jesus Christ based films, is the 1988 Martin Scorsese production of "The Last Temptation of Christ"; from the compelling, albeit contraversial storyline, to the offbeat casting, and surreal imagery...not to mention the 'what if' approach to the concept...this was a very emotionally moving, engrossing and thought-provoking excursion.
...Harvey Keitel, as Judas, slapping around Willem Dafoe, as Jesus Christ, like some gangster slapping around some punk...sorta put the whole thing into it's totally off-kilter perspective...
