That's right the Yankees. They're only a half game back of the Tigers and the Tigers are kinda struggling. Also Seattle is struggling. While the Yankees are of course the Yankees. They always find a way in the postseason.

The Yankees will win the East, because the Red Sox don't have the kind of pitching that will last the season, while the Yankee pitching will be fresh. The Tigers will win the Central. The Angels will win the West. The Indians will win the Wild Card. The Angels will beat the Indians, then the Yankees will avenge three recent Playoff defeats by beating first the Tigers in the ALDS, then the Angels in the ALCS. And the Yankees will beat the Padres to win their 27th World Series.

The Yankees, right now, are the best team in baseball. And they will remain so until the end of October. And when that time comes, all you people who said over and over again that they were done are going to look very bad. Or, should I say, worse.

I don't think anyone will argue the division winners. But the Yankees winning the Wild Card is questionable. I'm sure the Yankees hatters say no, and the Yankee fans say yes.

But to be fair, the Yankees have had an easy schedule over the last month, playing mostly sub .500 teams. Over the next three weeks they have 17 games againt the Indians, Angels, Tigers and Red Sox. If they win most of these games, only then will I be convinced they are truely a 2007 contender. Otherwise I fully expect the Tigers will step it up and do what it takes to make the post-season.

I disagree, but you are entitled to your opinion. I see absolutely no reason why you totally leave Detroit out. That makes no sense at all.

Sounds like bandwagon to me. You see a little winning streak from the Yankees and totally dismiss a team that's a lot better. They are not healthy right now but will be. Every team has slumps. I assume you think the Yankees miraculously found pitching? Who did they get?

I didn't say bandwagon fan, I said you are jumping on the happy streak bandwagon. When things are going good you think they will make the playoffs over a team that's been consistent all year long. Discounting a team that's better than yours is not a good analysis.

Yeah, now the Yankees getting the wild card is a sensible pick. If you made this suggestion a few months ago, it would be hard to agree, but now, that set of four is pretty much set in stone

I agree with all but the AL East and the WildCard.
I see the Yanks coming all the way back and taking the AL East. The Wildcard goes to the Tigers.

I like it and I agree. Even though I wish my White Sox had a chance. But I hope the Yankees win it all.
