This is the second part, if you will, to the question posted by Msafwat:
When Muslims the world over riot and march and burn flags and threaten terrorism - because of a few cartoons in a Danish paper - do you think they are being oversensitive? Are they over-using the term 'anti Islam'?
When Muslims the world over burn the British flag, and vow to kill innocent Britains - all because author Salman Rushdie gets knighted - do you think they are 'crying wolf' and over-reacting?
MSAFWAT suggests that Jews are too quick to alledge 'anti semitism' or 'anti zionism' or 'anti Jewish' feeling.
But is this absurd - given the aforementioned response of the Muslim community to cartoons and knighthoods...?

NOTE: I am not Jewish. I'm just getting really bored with Msafwat repeatedly posting insulting things about Jews.

ROCK: Well done for totally missing my point! Firstly: I'm not racist. I have respect for all religions. What I don't respect is when radical Muslims declare war on any country and any nationality because they don't like the way we live. And by the way, your analogy is wrong. Christians might have protested against The Da Vinci Code - but did they hold mass rallies and issue death threats to the author? Did they demand that their fellow Christians across the world rise up and call for terror attacks? No, they didn't.

I do agree.
For one thing, there is inevitably going to be a backlash when some muslims march with signs that say things like "Europe Burn in Hell", "To hell with Freedom of Speech", "Behead those who insult Islam" etc.
Plus it also seems that anyone who criticises this behaviour or terrorist actions is being accused of being "anti-Islam".
The way some Muslims rant about the Jews just makes me feel sick. We in the UK fought a 6 year war against a nasty anti-Semitic little scumbag who hurded 1000s into gas chambers and we're not going to take that again!!
It makes me sick and if they really think anyone is going to sympathise with them after that they're very mistaken. It just makes me far more sympathetic to Israel.
And no I'm not Jewish.

No and yes. I don't really hear Muslims claiming racism or anti-Islam; it seems that they're a large enough group that that doesn't really register. The only ones who complain are those in the Western world who feel they are discriminated against. On the other hand, I think it is ridiculous that when Arabic Muslims respond to (ambiguous) insults it includes rioting, molotov cocktails and flag-burning. Now it is true what some of you say that this wasn't everyone, and not the majority; however, it is ridiculous that the police did nothing to stop it. This means either they don't care, or the rioters were too many to stop meaning it isn't quite as miniscule as you suggest. This is behaviour that is intolerable. To compare, on an episode of SNL once the guest star ripped a picture of the Pope in half on live TV (about as inflammatory to Catholicism as you can be) and all that happened was that a complaint was lodged and SNL apologized. No riots, no fires, no deaths. This comes on top of the fact that those Muslim countries where these riots occur frequently publish blatantly anti-Semitic comics, such as ones depicting Israeli figures making matzah out of Palestinian blood (the famous blood libel), or Israelis drawn with over-emphasized stereotypical Jewish features (a staple of Nazi publications). I have no doubt that those who were so willing to riot against comics offensive to Islam were the same as those who so enjoy the anti-Semitic comics.

About bloody time someone spoke some sense - THANK YOU!
I too have been getting fed up with posts that just slag off Jews. I saw Msawfat's original post and it is ABSURD. I lived and worked in the Middle East for seven years. When in the Muslim countries, I saw so much anti jewish sentiment and material, and so much hatred towards Christians also, I was horrified.
So for Msawfat to now dare to accuse the Jews of being overly sensitive, is so hypocritical I am amazed.
I have no problem with any religion or any ethnic group. But let's all be really blunt for once: if in the UK it was blacks or jews who had organised huge marches through the capital and who were calling for more terrorism, all over a few pathetic cartoons, would we stand for it? NO WE WOULD NOT.
But for some reason, everyone is terrified of upsetting the Muslim community.
Oh, what a pity that the Muslim community doesn't exercise even a fraction of that caution over our sensibilities and our safety.
Back home in Denmark, the same thing was starting to happen. But a group of young Danes decided enough was enough and they have now dedicated a lot of time and energy to exposing Muslim hypocrisy.
To moderate and peace-loving Muslims: I apologise. But those who share your faith and who repeatedly threaten British people are not doing you any favours whatsoever.

Firstly, about the cartoons, temme somethin, if someone draws cartoons making fun of Jesus would you be happy and garland that person? No. Similarly, Muslims too HAVE the right to get angry with racist idiots. And btw, if you Christians talk so much about "Freedom of Speech", why was there outrage w.r.t. The Da Vinci Code? So, whose over-sensitive???
Secondly, about Salman Rushdie, The Satanic Verses an irreverent depiction of the Prophet Muhammad. Now, if you think that is over-reacting, temme why do you ar ses GET QUESTIONS DELETED which question the Bible??? So, whose over-reacting and is a crying-wolf???
I'm a CHRISTIAN and unlike u, I'm NOT RACIST. There's much more to life than fighting among religions. If there is Islamic terrorism, THERE IS also Christian Terrorism (Read the source of this answer). Be humble, down to earth, and accept people, cultures and Holy books the way they are. Despite me being Christian, I goto Temples, Mosques, Gurudwara's.
Don't let yourself get misguided. Be friends with Muslims. They are not bad people. Its the politicians who say they are bad. Have your own opinion about people and dont single out a specific communtiy. I'm sure you too wont like it if someone responds to this question by saying "Christians are idiots" et al.
Live life to the fullest !
EDIT- London Minx, first of all, who are you to decide whats radical and whats not? Everyone has a way of reacting. Some take it slow, some dont take no sh*t. Look at the tone of your reply.
And you just cant compare the Da Vinci bullsh*t controversy to the Rushdie one. Rushdie distorted facts and had written trash about GOD. Temme something smarty, if tomorrow someone makes a mockery outta Jesus, wont you get his question deleted from Yahoo/slap him/abuse him, etc etc??? What Rushdie did was something very major which, I dont think your Mickey Mouse BBC might have told you ! You live a dull life sweety. Go get a life !

* I don't know what m/Safwat had said, but from what you wrote, I guess he was right & you are a very simple minded & a bit careless about you values! don't get me wrong! just continue listening to me further.
Burning a FLAG, IS REALLY VERY SERIOUS THING, but if you consider the flag ( as many western people do!) is only a peace of cloth, then you are right, BUT it is not, as it represents the honor & integrity of that nation , the flag belongs to.
* Re Cartoons, it was ment to hurt the feeling of all, nuslims by cartoonong the highest integreted sympol(prophet M), which the offenders know exactly how the muslems sensitivity will be , & they meant to hurt it!
* If you think deeply in the matters mentioned, you will find that you were wrong ! lady.
** Agood example is what happened last week, when the russians placed their flag in certain place in the South pole, which frustrated the American Gov. whay? because it means a lot of things & it is not only a peace of cloth!!!!!!
GROW UP A BIT LADY & THINK LOGICALLY!!!!

Yes I do believe some sections of the Muslim communit y are over-sensitive but I also think a lot of the reactions are phoney and pure rabble rousing. The ones responsible know full well that their actions will cause resentment among the rest of the population and stir up a lot of bad feeling. This in turn leads to some idiots playing a bit of tit-for-tat which the same rabble rousers can then point to as anti-Muslim. I believe a lot of Muslims feel genuinely agrieved about some of the police actions, but if they are looking for terrorists who have vowed to blow up some of our fellow citizens, of course the police are going to go to the homes of Muslims. Its time the Muslims took it on themselves to sort out the trouble makers in their communities.
As for the Salman Rushdie business - who do these people think they are to dictate to our government or the Queen about who should or should not get honours.

I am also a white person and an atheist just to get that out of the way.
I do understand what you say about their reactions to things like the cartoons. I do think though they like the Jews before all have good reason to hold resentment against the western imperialist nations. At the moment the Muslims are basically being subjected to a similar persecution faced by the Jews before the holocaust happened. There obviously will not be the mass execution of Muslims like there was of the Jews by the Nazi's but ultimately these cases are linked by the western aristocracy to preserve and further their global financial hegemony.

Mohammedans blame everyone else for the sufferings they've brought on themselves through the reactions of an outraged West to the terrorism of Islam.
Definitely a large sector of the earth's population with some extremely serious screws loose . . .

muslims are the most racist group in the world. they make the aryan nation look like flower girls. the whole world is tired of hearing anti-muslim rhetoric. the UN stepped in over in bosnia and stepped in over iraq. yet you never here about the good will they, the muslims, perform because, you are trash if you are not muslim. you should be killed or convert. they want civility yet they kidnap and kill innocent koreans for trying to help the afhganastan people. they want other killers released in exchange. they, the radicals and those who do not disavow that kind of violence, are not people of allah. he would turn in his grave, spit in their face and slap them with 71 shoes. they are truly evil people. if you kill a school girl for wanting to learn in school, you are the anti-christ. if you blow up a market full of people trying to feed their family, evil.
