Big type? As in font size? As in space requirement? doesn't matter, a file is a file and they are all opened the same way. what is the real problem?

Yes, but it will require some downloading. Unless you have Word or Wordperfect. If you have one of those two you are all set just open them up in one of those two packages.
If not then download AM-Notebook Lite 4.0.5. It is text editor with a built-in spell checker. And it will handle large text files.

I'm thinking the question is about the .big extension.
From what I can google, it is a format for EA games. As a wild guess, i'm thinking you downloaded a pirated game and want to know how to play it. My true answer is, I don't know. But my best advice is to NOT DOWNLOAD ILLEGAL SOFTWARE.

you can open it using its exe program
if big type about font, then use trial and error method:
try to open it with
notepad, wordpad, word, writer,...

use textpad - its a great text editing app that can open large text documents that would normally crash notepad.
