IT, and The Shining.
I was frozen with fear... unable to even press stop on the VHS player.

You might think I am crazy saying this but I have some reasoning behind it. Jaws is with out a doubt the scarest movie ever made. Just think about how many people are afraid to swim in the ocean after seeing Jaws. How many times have you been in the water, weather it is a pool, a lake or the ocean, and that music plays in your head. Even younger generations that haven't even seen Jaws knows what it is.

I think Pretty Woman. It was like the catalyst for "Chick Flicks" that is the most painful thing on Earth for real guys to sit through. Is there any way to fall asleep with your eyes open during those movies so I can fool my gf?

Deer Hunter.
I was raised without a TV and rarely saw news. When I went off to college, the first movie I saw with my friends from the dorms was the Deer Hunter.
I was so traumatized that my friends had to take me out sobbing. The horror still is fresh for me when I remember.
Of course now I am a hardened women and it takes more for me to turn it off, but I still think that we as good people should be aware of what seeing murder and death does to our souls.

When I was a kid, the Curse of Frankenstein scared the shjt out of me when the monster got up off the table after all the sparks. As an adult, I found the Exorcist disquieting. Now I laugh my head off when Linda Blair cranks her head around through 360 degrees of rotation.

People never believe me but I really do not get scared at any movie period so horror movies are more like comedies to me since most of them are just good to laugh at if you aren't scared.
I take it back there was one. I went to see Sweet Home Alabama by myself I fled the theater in horror and just went next door to catch another less excruciatingly putrid and insipid movie.
