Delete the scam e-mail. Do not contact them. Do not ever give your personal information to anyone via e-mail.

It's probably a scam.
If it asks you for any personal information or a "processing fee" or anything like that, it is a scam for sure.

It means that this person wants your church to give the money to people in your congregation who need it. I would research it before getting their hopes up though. Run it past the Pastor/Priest and let them take it from there.
