Reach out !
Start at home and work your way outward-a neighbor who needs a job done -a non reader at the library,an elderly or recovering patient in a nursing facility
The American Red Cross always needs volunteers -no special skills necessary.
Take a class at the community college,or a high school night class.
Yeah I know. I spend a lot of time alone at home !

You need to get out and mingle, talk to people, get to know them an then invite them over for a little get together. Talk to anybody, anywhere, at the grocery store, laundromat, beach, etc... One other thing is take up dancing lessons they're fun and you don't need a partner.....:) someone is paired up with you everytime you go.

Join a gym my friend....

From there things will pick up I promise you.

First you will FEEL better about yourself and have more energy... You will meet people and break a conversation or two after a while and so on so forth...

Plus it keeps you busy and stops you thinking about it.
