My days are filled with helping other people. I made sure a person that had a bypass is getting food, I helped an 80 something year old get some housekeeping done. I listened to a 90 year old regale me with stories of her life. And I'm trying to put together an evacuation plan for shutins and disabled that live way back in the mountains. And this is just a small example of what a day is like for me.

I helped someone that had just moved from VA to NC get medications that would have resulted in them having severe consequences if they had to do without them. Yesterday I helped someone pay for cochlear hearing aid to help them be more independent. Last Friday I helped someone who was disabled get their job back after they were fired for a bullsh*t reason (with the assistance of the ACLU).

Every thing we do is for other people even when we are only concerned for our selves. We feed our family and provide shelter. All money we spend goes to others to do the same. As long as we don’t send our money to the government to be used in social programs it will do others good no matter what we do with it

I let a car merge in front of me that I could have cut off in morning rush hour traffic.

I also tipped the lady who refilled my tea at the buffet I ate at for lunch.
