Wouldn't it be cool? Your cell phone rings. You reach for it and a text message pops up saying that "You can save 10 cents off a two-liter bottle of Coke at your Walmart store" if you show them your text message. And you'd get 30 such messages a day. And soon the "pre-approved loans" and "better sex" and "Viagra" messages start arriving.

What a truly sadistic idea. I can't imagine anything I would find more annoying, and I would make it a point to avoid any companies or products whose manufacturers would be so intrusive. It's infuriating! Interrupt my day thirty times, force me to drop whatever I'm doing to answer the phone, just to spam me, and make ME pay for the priviledge?? That's one of the worst ideas I have ever heard.

Isn't there enough advertisements everywhere you look? We pay for cable tv, and all we have are hours of advertisements. I am sick of all of them plus the advertisements for new programming all over the same screen that I am trying to see a movie on. You make me sick.

Oh yes, that certainly sounds wonderful ... but why only 30 messages? As it is, I wait impatiently for messages in my Spam folder...

Ah... not really. I think the cell phone itself is an advertisement.
