It is beyond my level f comprehension to accept that people can believe that when Bush or some of his Cabinet or appointee's claim that things are so good in Iraq and in this country .

Anyone who agrees with the" things are going great" must be profiting from this mishandled economy and war .

Why is it anytime you post evidence of how badly things are going people just avoid answering or attack you by calling you a liberal terrorist supporter .

Truth is I fund several terrorist organizations through my taxes and I do not like it much . Like the Mossad or the Institutional revolutionary party which helped Pedro Carmona seize power for a short time . Maybe it was that Ferdinand Marcos received some of my money in the form of U.S. support .

I happen to disagree with much of our foreign policy and suggest that we have very little policy except trade agreements .

If the people you trade with are evil and tossed out and you lose money such is the nature of business . SUGAR

Have you read the latest reports of operations from commanders in Iraq...or do you just read body counts from reporters in the Green Zone?

Is Germany better now... or when Hitler ran things? Just answer that one question. Do you people think that things just happen over night and that there is no price to pay for things to get better.

I typically think you are more to the middle on the left but I've got to call you out on this one.

YES.... WE GET IT.... there are a whole lot of things going on that are wrong. It is war time. There are evil people out there who like to rule people rather than allow them their freedom. Many of the problems in this country stem from the sense of entitlement the left gives to people. Everything should be provided to you because your lucky enough to be here. Do you realize how many people wish to flock to America... simply because it is far greater than anything they will ever get in their country?

Things can be good or even great in Iraq in the future. Why is the left so pessimistic about ALL things? Why are they so deathly affraid to report all the good things that are happening in Iraq? Feel free to answer, but we already know the answer... Bush is in office and no matter what happens, it is never good in the eyes of the left. They are so hell bent on crucifying this guy they have no concept of anything else. I have heard countless stories from people that are in Iraq telling of the very possitive things that are going on... how people now have basic needs, how they can find employment, how they feel safer and their women and children are safer. Of course there are the other stories too... there is still a war going on there with an enemy that is filled with cowards, who target the defenceless.

I DON'T PROFIT FROM THE WAR.... yet I am still optimistic about the war on terror. Enough with your class envy and whinning about the rich. It is OLD. Try and look at the BIG picture for once instead of a selfish viewpoint.

Why are you so miserable? Has Bush come and taken your house or computer? Have you been fired because you are a Liberal? Can you not find what you want to eat in the stores? Do you not drive a car if you want? Travel anywhere you wish, say what you like? Are you able to pursue they type of work you wish (if qualified)? You should write your Senators and Congressmen about the tax/terrorist thing. The Libs control both Houses and write the spending bills. They always claim that they and they alone actually listen to the people. Maybe they will listen to you and bring you a little light to your unbearable existence.

I feel really sorry for you. You are one of the most pessimistic people I have ever run across. You only see doom and gloom for everyone everywhere you look, and see no way to escape it. I'm sorry you can't see the the good in a burgeoning Democracy. Starting a new way of life is hard for anyone at first, let alone a whole country! I'm sorry you can't see a great economy and low unemployment. I'm sorry you can't look forward to a new era, and a new chapter in your life.

Maybe you could start with yourself. Try smiling more and interacting with some optimistic friends. Help someone who could use some cheering up or a person in need. Helping others is the best (and easiest) boost to our mood we can have! {hugs}

Might I suggest making a parking lot out of terrorist countries then? That would seem to bring the progress you're looking for.

Not everyone is all doom and gloom like the liberals and the LIEberal media.

I'll listen to the soldiers who have been there and know what id going on ANY day over the LIEberal media which liberals swear by.

So you are saying that our soldiers who report the successes are lying or profiting. I doubt if they are profiting too much when they put their lives on the line every day to succeed in one of the most important missions our country has ever been involved in.

Kudos to you. People don't have to agree with your stand, but they cannot help but respect your attitude, if they are being open minded. Patriotism and loyalty have somehow become aligned with stupidity and ignorance in America. Perhaps that was acceptable when the US was on top of the world...but Americans are going to have to start looking at their world without their rose coloured glasses sometime very soon. The US$ being where it is should certainly have some people waking up, we can only hope.

So now you've defined positive news and positive attitudes and hope as. . . . . . . TWISTED ?

Rather than insult you , I will say that it appears that you are war-weary . Ok , fine . But lead or get out of the way !!

Much less twisted than Lefties trying to convince us that they havn't bet the house on American failure.
