And yet they think that government is the solution to every problem??
I have to disagree about the 30 years - those hippy commies took over the democratic party in 1968.

This is coming straight from everything I have ever studied, debated, learned in school and in life.
First of all, You would not know a Hippie if you bought your house from one.
Whoever gets elected in 2008 is the bravest person in the world. Have you ever heard the term "that's a bad act to follow"? Our current Administration has polluted our Constituution, our Honor, our Pride. Our next ELECTED president is going to have a full United States to try to piece back together. Stereotyping...the last guy had it for Democrats and now Liberals and Hippies. Why don't you Twits all grab your Cowboy and head on out to wherever you have stashed your wealth and let us have our freedom back?
Hippies taking citizens rights...lol....I'm disabled and a Grama and I got a $350.00 arrest for carrying a rock in my purse. Homeland Security doesn't like concealed weapons. No Miranda, didn't even know it was an arrest!
FYI This Government is it's own worst enemy and we are just the poor souls who are wondering if Congress and the Senate won't stand up to him who will? With all of the Best and brightest from all of these other countries riding on the Bush, will we even have a government when he's done?
I swear, sometimes I just feel like slapping someone. ..I think I'll wait until you are all in foreclosure...PS You might want to buy a copy of "CAVE Dwelling for Dummies". If it can happen to them...

Oh noes mommy the big bad republicans started a war in Iraq.
But son, what about the fact that the last president sat idly by sniffing his cigar while the nation was attacked? Both at home and abroad?
But son, what about the Fact that many of those screaming today about the "invasion of Iraq" were the same ones cheering as the coalition forces drove to Baghdad to "Liberate" Iraq?
But son, what about the fact that godless atheists hypocritically claim their right to deny god is greater than the Christians right to pray?
But son, What about those who claim our liberties are at risk yet have no understanding of the constitution?
They are failures. Occasionally they have a bright moment but the innate cowardice of the democratic party has long been their downfall.
Give me all the thumbs down you want. You know I'm right and it's that fear that leads to you impotence. Leave em right over there >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Liberals do not think the government is their enemy. They think republicans, big business, the investor class and religious people are the enemy. If Democrats are in office, they have no problem with government. It is not their enemy, it is their nanny.
They don't perceive Democrats as taking away their rights. They see the Democrats as taking away their enemies rights.

Why do Republicans hate America and hate our Constitution? If we are trying to retain the rights our Founding Fathers gave us and make sure they are not taken away from any American citizens, why would you find fault with that? You must hate America.
It has nothing to do with hippies. There are no hippies anymore. They were around in the 60s and you must be listening to someone who isn't well informed.
Oh, and by the way, if you think there weren't any people in Congress who had the same beliefs as the hippies, you must not know about Ron Dellums or Adam Clayton Powell, to name just two.

No one thinks the government is the enemy, we think they are incompetent.
As for your predictions of what will happen if a Democrat wins the White House, why is it that neocons continue to make predictions when they've been dead wrong on every prediction they've made about Iraq for 5 years now?
If that's the neocon prediction, then I think good times ahead are a good bet.

The current administration is responsible for the US starting the war in Iraq. It's a civil war we shouldn't be involved in. We're not out to get republicans, we just want honesty and integrity in the White House.
And by the way, 30 years ago, the Dem's DID NOT hate the hippies. I know, I was one.

There are no more hippies. That culture dried up 30 years ago. And big government is every body's enemy. That is supposed to be a conservative cornerstone. The current so-called conservatives don't seem to remember that little item in their credo.

Liberals think the government is their enemy because it's controlled by far-right-wing Republicans. Liberals think the government is out to get them because this is what far-right-wing Republicans do: Try to get liberals. And make truckloads of money off the sweat and blood of people who actually work for it.
Democrats grant and enforce rights, Republicans suppress them. This has been the pattern in the 75 years since FDR.
