Cat drives a Honda. Cat has no other way to get there. Public transportation in small-town Texas is a joke. It's only useful if you have to go somewhere between 8 and 5, and it doesn't matter what time you arrive because it's always late or early, and only if you can get to one of the 6 stops it makes, 8 miles from your house. In other words, it's geared toward specific people, and everyone else is ignored.

I drive every day - but with a car that's getting 55mpg, and we are four people, ride sharing. This reduces the cost of commuting to about 15% of what it would be by bus. Add to that the fact that the bus takes 30 minutes longer, and that it is difficult not to get very seasick on it due to the crazy road when that exuberant driver is rallye-driving it again, and you have a strong case for the car.

Drive, like everyone else here. Buses make no sense where I live, and only run sporadically a couple of times a day in a few main areas of town. And we can't have subways on the Gulf Coast, the water table is too high.

Public transportation where I live is practically worthless. I drive to work everyday, but my trip is only about 6 miles.

I have no choice but to drive. Public transportation wouldn't go all the way out in the boondocks to pick me up.

I drive my car .... I've taken public transportation in the cities when I worked there... subways and light rail transit... but I can't stand buses... unless I'm actually driving them.

I drive. I work only a few miles from home... and I also drive for errands, etc, but I'll try to take care of as much as I can on one trip, for example, going to the bank, post office, grocery store, etc :)
