To the three people who answered this: Stop wasting people's time. You don't know what you are talking about.

To answer your question, you are probably better served by taking a regular class. I've found that I learned more by interacting with and watching other actors. If you want private coaching a lot of acting teachers offer it. There are bound to be some decent classes and teachers where you live. If you look hard enough you'll find them.

Just look in the phone book. There are some people who can help you choose. That is what I do. I help aspiring actors achieve their goals. I can tell by the way they teach and what they teach. Even with that sometimes you cannot tell. One of the aspiring actors I advise went to a highly regarded acting school in NYC this summer. ( I advised against it) We discovered they do not deserve their reputation and that they are Hypocritical. Another student of mine, as I call those who I advise, was taking a class from a very highly regarded teacher in NYC, but he could not stand her personality and changed where he was studying the same technique.

To make it in acting as a female, this is key:

-you have connections to someone in the industry;

OR

-you are knockout gorgeous and you are noticed by someone important.

Unless you are shooting for broadway plays or theatre, your actual talent need only be marginal.

It's really a tough business, lots of talented actresses lose out to beautiful actresses who are far less talented.
