I am entering my senior year in high school. Iv realized that I want to pursue an acting career and I have gotten advice on what I should do to start, but now I need to know where that best place to go is. Should I move to NY or LA, and should I try going to school and acting or should I just try to focus on this?

It may be best to stay where you are for a while, depending of course where that is. There are other cities that you can get started in as well. If you really want to be an actor, dont go to college, there are only a handful of colleges that are helpful to aspiring actors. Click on my name by this answer and read my profile.

Only you can make that decision. You know your lifestyle, you know what you need and don't need in your life. NY and LA are difficult cities, especially if pursuing acting. You have to determine which city meets the needs of your acting career.

New York! Compare the stage acting opportunities between the two. Do include schooling with the acting. Never lock yourself into a one way or highway position.

Take almost any and every acting job you can get. All the greats started where your starting right now and they would tell you the same thing. Good Luck.
