I moving to NYC in less than a month and Ive never lived there before, but i know ill be walking... A LOT. I want shoes that are comfortable, affordable and stylish! a lot of flats ive seen are too thin at the bottom and with all the walking ill be doing, they will get worn out quick.
what do you recommend??

I would get Vans Slip-ons. They're cute and come in a billion different prints. They're comfortable, machine washable, and thick-soled.

My suggestion is to get yourself a good pair of sneakers to wear with pants! I personally like Adidas, but there are plenty of other brands to choose from. I would stay far away from something with too much of a heel. You can really damage you feet, knees, and hips if you were to walk around on them too long!
There are a lot of stylish sneaker style shoes, especially by Skechers you may want to look into. They don't look as much like sneakers, but are made of the same materials.
Also, you could try Crocs. They are comfy shoes! I dunno about the style part, I think they are ugly, but I wear them cause they are comfy!
As far as shorts, I would recommend a nice flat sandal, like a birkenstock style. Something that is really comfy!
My suggestion is to go to the shoe store and see what you like that is comfortable and stylish at the same time. There are so many choices out there!

hey there, i live in new york city right now and its only up 2 u wether u want to walk or not. u can have someone drive or take a taxi or the bus. unless u jus fell like walking. some cute shoes are pumas. they are comfy and they usually look kute on a alot of girls feet. and also flipflops with rhinstones or glitter or casual converse. also flats are a very popular fashion in new york. good luck :) hope i helped!

1] try some good quality walking shoes for long treks - sneaker type for marathon treks!
2] go online at shoebuy, shoemall, or zappos. Type in comfort dress.
3] look for shoes with thick soles, padding at toe, roomy toebox, arch support , and heel support/padding.
4]avoid open toe shoes until you know what your route will be.
5] brands: Easy Spirit, Hush Puppies, Naturalizer, Soft Spot, Softwalk
6] alternate 2 inch heels, wedges, and flats for best foot health

If you are leaving in a month, I suggest you get started on looking. Sometimes it's not easy to find what you want in your size in one day. You may shop all weekend and not find what you need. I've been there for a bit over a week for my honeymoon and I tell ya, you get tired if you are not wearing the right shoes. It would not help if we tell you wear to go. It's better if you just go yourself and just start trying them on. Once you decide to buy them, be sure to wear them a few time to break it in. You wouldn't want to start your first week in NY with blisters!

I like in long island new york & I'm in the city a lot. Get pumps or heels. Thats what all the city girls are wearing!!!
Or get Ugg Boots!! Any city girl thats wants to be comfy cute & stylish wears those!

i would get lots of different colored converse.
they go with any jeans and are about 40 bucks.
anything other than that i would say flats but youve already tried thouse so im not sure.

i recommend ballet flats. certain kinda dont wear out at the bottom. if not get roxy sneakers.
