Holy crap people!!!!! im sorry to have offended you!!!! and believe me, i'm not saying it's the most important thing in the world. Obviously it doesn't matter at all compared to 9/11 whoever accused me of not believing that. you don't think i know that? Gosh! Whatever it was just a question. i was just saying i was passionate about sports and wouldn't you get annoyed if you were talking about your favorite team or something and somebody was just like "hey get a grip it's only a game"............ oh wait you're the people who're saying it. never mind. geeze if you want to criticize me just please don't.

Remember 9/11? It's just a game. It's important to me compared to football fans or American football fans or basketball fans or whomever, but there are guys in Iraq. It's just a game.

I call that "the loser's mantra."
Look, we all realize it's a game, but it's not "just" a game. Anyone who cares about giving their all, and about trying their hardest to win, can't believe that it's just a game. I don't mind losing as long as I know I've done my best, but that doesn't make the game any less significant.
If someone really thinks "it's just a game," that's the person I don't want on my team.

Oh yes....It IS only a game, but I HATE cliches. The same drooling morons who say that go around spouting other gems like "let's knock this one out of the park, Joey" and "win one for the gipper." If this is you, make note....shaddap.

it IS only a game unless you are playing AND getting paid for it :P
or college, where your career depends on your performance...
but of course it's going to be annoying when you lose :P and the other person is smirking while they say it
